While the domestic teapot is destined to one day break, the shards will remain on earth for thousands of years. Ceramics as a medium inherently reference permanency and create a time capsule of sorts to be discovered some millennia into the future. Here, intentional fault lines control =the inevitable break and create pre-planned shards as a gesture for future findings. The intimate diary entries written into each section play with the everyday, the banal, and gendered experiences while questioning whose stories have been privileged in the past and whose will be in the future.
